R.I.P TSS
I watched the show today and the show is so lame.The new guy "Kevin Pereira" is so annoying.Chi Lan is hot but maybe less of those annoying laughs.And the worst part is that this will be their best shows(coz they wanted to start off with a bang).And what the hell were tptb thinking.No studio audience.Atleast the audience adds some life to the show.Alex Albrecht hated it.Leo thinks its a sinking ship (Joey the Intern has the audio for that).And here's Becky Worley's thought on this whole thing.What do you all think?

Streets And Trips With GPS
The urge to get it was so strong that i fell for it.On my way home from school, i purchased Microsoft Streets and Trips that came with a usb gps which can be used with pocketpc/laptop.I am in the process of trying it out.Its so cool.But the only problem is there is no voice navigation feature built in. Thats one of the setback. In order to use it on my trip i will have to have someone with me or stop at some place to check the route. But for every problem, there is a solution or so they say.
I did some google search and found out that if i get Microsoft Mappoint, i will be able to get a plugin that can give voice navigation. But its an expensive solution. I think Microsoft should have built the feature into it by default. I will let you all(i know there is only one reader) know about my experience with this unit.

G4Techtv - TSS Dead Once Again
Just found out that Alex, Dan, Yoshi among others who work on TheScreenSavers have been let go. I didn't see this coming. It seems like tptb at G4Techtv are just like kids who make irrational decisions. I am sad to see talented people let go. Kevin/Alex made good hosts. According to Sarah Lane's blog, TheScreenSavers is being revamped.
To find out more visit Alex, Sarah and Kevin's blog.

Dear Condy,
Donald Knuth - who wrote The Art Of Computer Programming has written a letter to Condoleeza Rice. "I'm 99.99% sure that my writing this letter will have no effect, but my conscience tells me to write it anyway........ When I knew you at Stanford I had the greatest admiration for your abilities and good sense. (And I was disappointed that we never were able to get together to play four-hands music.) But now I cannot help but express to you my chagrin that the warm feelings I once had have basically evaporated. I hope you can pause to try to understand why this might be the case."

Blogging != Journalism
Thats what the people at CBS thinks. Maybe its true, maybe its not but its the last thing you would expect from CBS news, since they are the one with great journalistic integrity.

X1 Vs Google Desktop
You think google's desktop Search is fast.Try X1.I am amazed at how well it carries out the search.Within a few seconds of installing it, it had already indexed all my email and my files.No, i am not getting paid to say this.Even on their website, they have a list of bloggers who have praised their products.From their website, " X1 Desktop Search is personal search for your own computer.X1 instantly locates any word or words in any email message, attachment, file or Outlook contact on your PC.X1 delivers search results as you type your search, narrowing the results in real time with each letter."
The downside is it costs US$74.95.But you can try it for 15 days.
