All Things Mac And MacBook

I am thinking about picking up a macbook and have been doing some research about it. But it is not an easy decision to make. Rumors of an imminent update to the cpu to the new Merom(core 2 duo) chip is putting me on the fence. Should i buy or should i wait? What color should i get(Black or White)? Is the Black version worth the extra $150? Should i get the Macbook or the Macbook Pro? Those are the million dollar questions. I am using this post as a placeholder for all the goodies i find along the way in the hopes that it would be helpful to other people. If u have anything to add, please leave a comment.

Update[August 31, 2006]: I caved into the pressure and bought the 2 ghz Black Macbook. So far i am preety satisfied with it and have not experienced any of the bad symptoms that some people have experienced(cross my fingers). I also found a software that helps u to find any dead pixels. The software is called PixelCheck. Found it via MacOSG. Also found another great guide from TaoOfMac called How To Switch To The Mac.
