QuickSilver - Is it as good as it is made out to be?

Many a mac folks have professed/confessed/swore by quicksilver! But is it as good as it made out to be hmm? Well sorry, i dont have the answer to it yet. It seems that in order to reap its rewards, there is some work that has to be done. So u ask me, what is it that i need to do to be one of those quicksilver master/fanboy? Hmm, the answer is u need to do some research aka read manual/tutorial etc. It seems that the learning curve is really steep but once u get a hang of it, it will be a breeze. So me been a brave soul that i am, i have taken upon myself to venture into this crazy experiment and prove once and for all(ok just prove it to myself) if its really that good.
